Designed, programmed and taught by qualified and experienced primary school/ early childhood teachers,

a fun introduction to skills for BIG SCHOOL

Class sizes are small to assist with individual work programs

Children enjoy :

counting and numbers,

phonemic awareness

alphabet (and phonics, the sounds of the alphabet),

comprehension of text

craft,

fine motor activities

singing activities

shapes

colours

role play

READY 4 SCHOOL (4-6 yrs - the year before school)

Our enthusiastic students love to learn about:

Letters (phonics)
Numbers (numerals, counting objects, counting to a set number, dot/pattern/ shape)
Fine Motor activities, (including writing letters, numbers, words and name)
Sight words
Games specific to skill base
Songs and stories to reinforce the weeks focus area

Price includes: weekly readers, personalised handwriting,worksheets, and craft.

In a small group structured environment they develop skills to follow teacher direction and complete set tasks. Our students find this a fun introduction to school work and the program extends skills learnt in Preschool School Readiness Classes. Our program is carefully planned and skills are developed while working to a theme each week.

Classes run for an hour per week.

Classes held in Hills District AND Newington/Homebush.

LEARN 4 SCHOOL (3-4 yrs - two years before school)

Learning is so much fun that the children in this group do not even realise the important skills they are developing!

storytime and literature study
phonemic awareness activities (an important pre-reading skill which teaches rhyme and sounds of language)
name recognition and letter matching
counting and recognising beginning numerals,
fine motor activities using lots of different medium,
colours,
shapes,
craft: based around our theme for the week, and the fine motor objectives for the week,
singing, and
fabulous games.

In a small group these children are given close attention, as they develop these very important skills. This class develops all of the skills necessary to move to the next developmental step (READY 4 SCHOOL) next year.

Classes run for 45 mins per week.

Classes currently held in Hills district AND Newington/Homebush.

In our school readiness program, we believe in developing children's skills in fun, colourful, and interesting environments therefore we use ED Specially 4U resources that stimulate your child’s individual learning style.

Children Learn with Confidence at ED Specially 4U school readiness programs. It assists children to transition to the 'big' school environment.

Children who feel confident with literacy and numeracy are at an advantage from the moment they step into the classroom. Our school readiness program will facilitate their personal
literacy and numeracy development, and develop confidence through knowledge.
